Global Ag Risk Solutions (GARS) Proud to Sponsor the Adam Herold Legacy Foundation

For Immediate Release

Regina, SK – October 6 – Global Ag Risk Solutions, a global leader in innovative agricultural farm insurance, is investing in Saskatchewan’s youth by sponsoring the Adam Herold Legacy Foundation.

This three-year commitment provides support to the foundation’s goal of developing young leaders in rural Saskatchewan.

Russell Herold, Chairman of the Board of the Adam Herold Legacy Foundation, appreciates the confidence GARS has shown in the foundation with their sponsorship.

“GARS provides innovative risk management to our farmers in Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Alberta, and is focused on rural communities. We are honoured that they support our mandate of training youth in rural Saskatchewan in leadership, team building, and sport activities,” said Herold.

David Sullivan, Executive Vice President of GARS, noted the birthplace of GARS is in Saskatchewan, and as such, the company is committed to supporting the young leaders of the future in the province.

“We are honored to be involved with the Adam Herold Legacy Foundation. Developing young leaders in rural Saskatchewan through sport activities, leadership, and team building will ensure we continue to have strong leadership throughout our rural communities.”

About the Adam Herold Legacy Foundation. The Foundation was established following the tragic Humboldt bus crash on April 6, 2018. Adam Herold was the youngest person on the bus to lose his life that day. The Herold family, along with close friends and relatives, wanted to continue Adam’s legacy following the accident.

Adam was a tremendous athlete and leader on his teams and in the community. He was born and raised in Montmartre, Saskatchewan, a small rural community southeast of Regina.

The family believed rural children did not necessarily receive the same opportunities as urban children and as such the Foundation focuses on 3 rural communities per year.

The foundation organizes three days of professional instruction on Hockey, Leadership, Team Building, and Exercise. The chosen communities are not required to pay for the three-day camps but are asked to fundraise to “pay it forward” to the next community. Other funding for the professional instructors come from corporate donations such as Ritchie Bros. and individual donations. To date, 19 rural communities have been served.
