Balcarres & Gravelbourg Participants Make an Impact on their Communities!

January 31st, 2019

This year, the Foundation held hockey and leadership development camps in Gravelbourg and Balcarres. As part of these camps, each participant is asked to make a positive impact on their community by helping others through volunteer work. One of the highlights of the January camps was hearing about the various ways the players spend time making a difference in and around their hometowns. The players range in age from 4 – 15, and all of them made a positive impact on their community! Here are some of the fantastic ways they volunteered:

  • Pow Wow Dancing demonstration at Treaty 4 Governance Centre
  • Hospital Helper
  • School Canteen
  • Help with younger hockey teams

The Foundation also accepted donations from both Gravelbourg and Balcarres following the completion of their camps! The foundation was honored to receive these cheques and would like to thank everyone who fundraised to make this happen!
